Shivalee Patel ’25 is from Mint Hill, North Carolina. As an Economics and Business Administration double major, Shivalee’s professional interests include sustainability, non-profit development and business law with a long-term goal of working in legality concerning corporate social responsibility. Shivalee decided to become a Kenan Scholar for the opportunity to create a lasting impact with a cohort of like-minded individuals and to utilize the opportunities and resources of the Kenan Institute to bring good to the world.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Shivalee is a recipient of the Lion’s Club Scholarship for Community Service, is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Pencils for Promise, serves as the Vice President of Symposium for Scholars of Finance and is involved with B3 Coffee and the Carolina Women in Business. Shivalee’s hobbies include reading, baking and fitness.
