Sebastian Mateu ’25 is from Miami, Florida. As a Business Administration and Coastal Resiliency double major, Sebastian’s professional interests include urban planning and development, sustainability and environmental consulting. Sebastian decided to become a Kenan Scholar for the opportunity to learn from and with alongside peers and professionals who are committed to tackling societal issues.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Sebastian is a Morehead-Cain Scholar, serves as the Co-Director within the Student Government Executive Branch, works with the non-profit Solar Equity, is a member of Consult Your Community and founded the non-profit A Soccer Life Foundation, based on Miami. Sebastian’s hobbies include running, soccer, landscape photography and cooking.
