Sasha Surkin ’25 is from Greenville, North Carolina. As a Business Administration major, Sasha’s professional interests include social entrepreneurship, entertainment media, and the economic and social impact of vision care. Sasha decided to become a Kenan Scholar as the program aligns with her purpose to pursue professional and personal goals accompanied always by an element of service and social good.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Sasha is a Wayland H. Cato Assured Admission Scholar, an Honors Carolina Scholar, an Ulrich Family Scholar, the recipient of the Teen Entrepreneurship Scholarship and is a member of the 1789 Innovation Hub, Que Rico dance team an TEDxUNC. Sasha is also the Founder and CEO of WeyeZE, LLC. Sasha’s hobbies include reading, consuming news, weightlifting, Zumba, and spending time with friends and family.
