Future Business Leaders Committed to Changing the World for the Better

Liz Barteldt ’25 is from Davidson, North Carolina. As an Environmental Studies Major (Sustainability Track) and a Business Administration Minor, Liz’s professional interests include sustainability consulting, climate communications, conservation, and sustainable CPG marketing. Liz decided to become a Kenan Scholar because she believes solving environmental problems will require cross-sector solutions. She also loves being a part of a community of like-minded students working towards impactful careers.

On campus, Liz is Co-President of Sustainable Business Club, an Honors Carolina Student, and a member of Epsilon Eta Environmental Honors Society. She is also currently a freelance writer and marketing strategist for Intentful Consumers, an interactive website that shares eco-friendly alternatives to everyday products. She has previously worked at the Ackerman Center for Excellence in Sustainability and was an environmental journalist for Heart of Waraba, a nonprofit that shares the stories of sustainable entrepreneurs across the globe.
