Ethan Silvey ’22 is from Weston, Florida. As a business and political science double major, his professional interests include sustainability, policy development and consulting. Ethan decided to join the Kenan Scholars program because he is passionate about fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors and for the opportunity to complete a faculty-supported research project.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Ethan is President of the TAMID Group, a member of the UNC Out-of-State Student Association and a 2020 Beacon Fellow. Ethan’s hobbies include politics and political strategy, sustainability, soccer and hockey. After college, Ethan intends to pursue a career in consulting, with a focus on sustainability strategy and a long-term goal of becoming a lobbyist for clean energy.
