Derek Brown ’24 is from Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania. As a Business Administration and Public Policy double major, his professional interests include social entrepreneurship, policy and law. His long-term goals include attending law school and later founding a social entrepreneurship startup. Derek decided to become a Kenan Scholar for the opportunity to collaborate with fellow students, alumni and professionals who share the desire to ensure that business benefits the common good.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Derek is a Hayden B. Renwick Scholar, serves as an Innovate Carolina Dreamers-Who-Do and is involved with Every Nation Campus and EATS2SEATS. His hobbies include architecture and city planning, listening to music and roller-skating.
