Future Business Leaders Committed to Changing the World for the Better

Background

I grew up in northeast Ohio where I enjoyed horseback riding and volunteering at a local summer camp. I earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University. During my undergrad, I worked for two local engineering firms in stormwater management and water resources. Upon graduation, I joined IBM consulting and relocated to Chicago. I had the opportunity to work on client engagements in multiple industries including consumer packaged goods, oil and gas, and financial services. I loved experiencing the different corporate cultures and engaging with clients and team members from around the world. I then spent a year as a program manager developing a reskilling initiative and improving internal business processes.

Career Path

Earning an MBA became a long-term goal of mine when I decided to study engineering in undergrad. I knew it would be a great opportunity to eventually return to the university setting and learn more about big picture decision making. I am working to expand my critical thinking and leadership skills at Kenan Flagler while mastering the foundations of business. I am interested in product development and studying how new ideas are brought to market.

Interests and Hobbies

I enjoy taking yoga classes at Franklin Street Yoga in Chapel Hill. I am also a bit of an adrenaline junkie. My favorite hobby is kitesurfing and lucky for me the Outer Banks, NC is a world-renowned spot. I have kited in some incredible locations – my favorites being Hood River, Oregon and Maui, Hawaii. I also enjoy live music and visiting friends around the country and world.
